Maria A Arana

Ashes

ashes fall
night disperses
sojourn thoughts
tempest willows
beckon

dragonflies
to overcome the frost
vines and thorns revived
timid breezes
bite

night summoned
with a wave
whose luminescent flowers
bleed joyous gifts
reckoned

rumors
no longer wait
night breathes stillness
rekindles worms
as ashes fall

Wonder

nature frolics spark
flowering bud spills nectar
on withering fly

to pick on the fruit
diminish the plentiful
in bountiful space

flowers in bloom…

flowers in bloom as the call comes
does nature take its role among the living
and when the curse of what should come growing
succumbs to the rot
will flowers bloom
beating on the outside
the rot inside
hiding until death comes
and the truth reveals a parade of sorts
