Hiking east through a mountain wood I hear the poppys golden sound  Butterflies start their waltz at dawn De-dot-de-da-da

While puffy clouds pass over peaks I see rock wrens’ saxophone chirps Willows whirl as they breathe in psalm De-dot-de-da-da

Ravenous hawk circles canyon Lazy diamondback soaks noon sun  No ones blue by this gospel song De-dot-de-da-da

Funky bunny by bush ahead 

sniffs afternoon leaf aperitif 

All the forest hip hop along

Thirsty Alders on sunset banks 

sip stream water through tangled roots  

Everywhere theres a dancing throng
